安全閥是通過調(diào)整彈簧的壓緊螺母來校準(zhǔn)一個(gè)特定壓力。校準(zhǔn)壓力是為了避免設(shè)備損壞而定的大安全壓力值。在正常的的工作壓力下，閥門是關(guān)閉的；當(dāng)系統(tǒng)壓力超過校準(zhǔn)壓力時(shí)，閥門打開。管道系統(tǒng)中的壓力得到釋放，從而達(dá)到對管路及設(shè)備的保護(hù)。
改進(jìn)型，它增加了氣動(dòng)開啟裝置，便于對安全閥及其管路進(jìn)行CIP清洗。
